Al Namrood - Jaish Al-Namrood

Highlights: Naqoos Al Khatar,Atba'a Al-Namrood
The sound that Al-Namrood created has always captured the black metal fans of the Middle East because of the pure oriental atmosphere that they're used to create in every record, though this release didn't give us anything new, but the new sound that Al-Namrood has reached and the tight production of this record will make these re-recorded tracks more valuable. Though the sound is not perfect, but I can sink deeply between these traditional instruments, and it feels like falling into the middle of the Sahara Desert.
The advanced production destroys the old fragile production of the first demo, so this record will be a new experience for those who enjoyed the latest albums of this Saudi group. The attraction of the catchy tracks "Atba'a Al-Namrood" and "Naqoos Al Khatar" will not prevent me from showing my hate toward the annoying sounds of the snare and the crashes, the oriental keys and the guitars go really file together without the disturbing sound of the drums, I hope the band will solve this problem in the upcoming releases.
The angry hellish voice of Learza is sure one of the best features in this record, though the sound of the sampled oriental instruments sometimes destroy the whole verses, but still the hellish vocal sections are blasting the whole sound. The track "Ajsad Dhar'een" and the track "Entisarat Al Ashawes" are mixed will, the chosen keyboard banks have helped to strengthen the structure of the tracks, but I have to admit that the selected banks were'nt always wise. The tune of the guitars are mind-blowing, especially when the lead guitar start to smash the speakers with the oriental licks.
If you're searching for a record that has a Middle Eastern sound and mixed inside a black\death texture, then you have to check this record (of course after checking the other records of this band). The sound wasn't perfect, but the presented materials are worth listening for all the fans of oriental metal music. I will be checking the upcoming records for this band and I hope they will be able to create more oriental black metal atmosphere.
