Highlights:  Necropolis. Crimson Goddess

How did I miss this EP from the last year! seriously, this band and their “Memento Mori” EP; are absolutely, without any doubt, one of the finest moments of the Middle Eastern Metal timeline. And to be honest, much of this credit goes to someone called, Sarj.

Kicking off with “Eyes Of Eternity”, and just with less than 30 seconds of nice intro, the band will get your ears bounded to their tunes, with the brilliance of two guys named Gaser El Safty and Edidiong Udo, those guys are simply one of the best guitars duo in the entire middle east scene.

And when we go deeper through the EP, we get more proggy moments and sexier solos, from “Necropolis” to “Dante’s Inferno”, the band keep mesmerize us with their skills and high musicianship. Even vocally, they keep it fresh, in the title track they add spoken words passages, and with the closing song, “Crimson Goddess”, they brought the one and only, Sarj to feature in the song with his amazing, haunting clean vocals.

In abstract, with each song Depth keep pushing it forward, with each song you gona find new stuff, those guys don’t repeat themselves, even if you compare this EP to their debut demo, you will find how this band sound developed into more solid sound.

Kuwaiti Metal scene nowadays had become the most eyes catching one, with names like Depth, Benevolent, Voice of The Soul, etc etc. And as I said in the beginning, the main credit for this goes to Sarj Masood and his studio, without him, these talents would be buried by the low production quality. Am damn sure that this will have its effect on the entire middle eastern scene, and push it forward, the more exposure and support these bands get, the more we get closer to have a scene capable of producing bands that can compete on the international scale.

My final word are, go to Depth Facebook Page, get your copy of the EP, put it in your iPod/Mp3 player or what else, close the internet, and JUST LISTEN, prepare yourself to have eargasm.
