The latest album from the Spanish band, Hyde Abby, “Hall of Shame” (distributed by Suspiria Records) places all the ferocity and anger of Deathcore into one, ultra record. The first track, "Wonderful World " made me wonder what the fuck I was listening to until the next track, "Sons of Iniquity" started and got me to believe that the speakers will soon explode from anger. The track presented, furious riffs, accurate time signatures, great melodies entwining around the music and vocals from a man that I'd call a “beast.”
This album reminded me of the work of, All Shall Perish but with a modern method and a taste of The Black Dahlia Murder's With a little taste of Job For A Cowboy. Among the many unique elements of this band, is their way of harmonizing two vocal lines to sound as if it is done by only one vocalist. If you're looking for something Progressive-based, give, "To the Hollow" a listen or, if your looking for spine-crushing breakdowns, have a listen to, "God Pray for Plagues" or, the ironically titled track, "The Collar."
Hyde Abby is the sort of Deathcore band that you can't afford not to listen to. They've done an amazing job and I would definitely consider, “Hall of Shame” to be one of their best releases to date, comparing it to what Lamb of God's, “Ashes of the Wake.”
