PERSIAN ROCK & METAL FEST - Date Change Announced2013-07-10
The organization of PERSIAN ROCK & METAL FEST has announced that the event will finally take place on 5th and 6th October. The festival will be held at Rkinigzelta Saxli in Tbilisi, Georgia.
This year's edition was going to take place on 19th and 20th July, but had to be postponed due to the end of the visa exemption for Iranians in Georgia. As the organization announced at the festival's Official Website the new visa policy, which has started this month, has made it difficult for the Iranian bands to be able to play in Georgia on July.
Prior to the date change announcement, the festival organition announced that the event was going to be headlined by the French Death Metal band GOROD. Apart from the Iranian bands AZOOMA and THUNDER, the festival was also going to feature bands from other countries of the region such as the Turks MORIBUND OBLIVION, Azeri metallers SILENCE LIES FEAR and the Georgian SCRATCH THE FLOOR.
The festival's first edition took place in Yerevan, Armenia on September 2012. It was headlined by the Iranian Death metallers ARSAMES and featured many Iranian bands ranging from Heavy Metal to Brutal Death Metal.
