LAZZY LUNG - Videos From Their Hollywood Trip Posted2012-05-25
In case you still haven't heard, the Lebanese Alternative Rockers LAZZY LUNG won the Makshoof Music Home-Grown to Hollywood opportunity last year, the prize of which was the trip of a lifetime to Capitol Records in Los Angeles, USA.
The Home-Grown to Hollywood project is the brain-child of TripleW.me and EMI Music, through their Capitol Records label, to give an opportunity to Middle East-based musicians to record a session at Capitol studios in Hollywood. The concept was simple: musicians had to prove themselves and show how well they could promote themselves over a period of three months. From there a winner was chosen, based on a number of factors including song-writing, marketing and understanding of their art. As part of the campaign to promote the Middle-Eastern music scene, Ray-Ban is supporting the Lebanese Rock band on their exhilarating journey to record their music in Los Angeles.
TripleW.me have launched a special dedicated part of the site which is filled up with videos, blogs and photos from the trip. There you can know more about LAZZY LUNG's experience in Los Angeles.
The band visited Capitol Records, the spiritual home of 'big music' in the US, and shot a video at the legendary Studio A, enlisting the help of the widely-known sound engineer Charlie Paakari. They had the great bassistMartyn Lenoble (JANE'S ADDITION) playing with them as replacement of Imad, who missed out on the trip due to some visa issues.
They also talk about the band's history and what the future holds for them.
