THROWN TO THE SUN - Postpone New Album Release2015-08-12
Turkish Progressive Death metallers THROWN TO THE SUN have announced the postponement of the release of their upcoming album titled "House of Rest". The reason behind this is the departure of guitarist/vocalist Ahmet Saraçoğlu from the band.
The new album, which was due to be released this month, follows up the band's sophomore full length from 2014 titled "Out of Themselves Things Will Come". The artwork has been designed by Tayfun Gülnar and can be seen as follows.
The band posted the following statement on its Facebook Page: "After several long, really long talks, Ahmet and we mutually agreed that it would be best for him to leave THROWN TO THE SUN and pursue other projects. But turn that frown upside down, because we will be back with a solid, shining lineup and we’re in it for the long haul!
Though the decision process went really smooth, it did force us to postpone the release of our third album, “House of Rest”. We will inform you about the new dates once things cool down a bit. Until then, thanks for your continuing interest and support!"
As we previously reported, the band will participate in this year's edition of %100 METAL FEST - HEADBANGERS' WEEKEND, which will take place on 29th 30th and 31st August at KüçükÇiftlik Park in Istanbul, Turkey. The festival will also feature other Metal music heavyweights such as ARCH ENEMY, CARCASS, KREATOR, MASTODON and the UAE band SVENGALI, as well as and many others.
